Where the Volcanic Egg spawns
- Dragon’s Lair, Volcano Island. Cross the water past the Desert to Volcano Island and enter through the small opening on the right side of the volcano. Follow the wooden beams and red crystals down to the lair. The egg sits on a dark rock platform next to the sleeping Dragon Guardian.
How to get it out alive
- Wait for the on-screen spawn announcement, or ask the Tracker NPC whether the egg is up. The Eternal Radar does not track this egg.
- Bring a flying pet: Phoenix at least. Players report they could not escape without one.
- Before picking the egg up, note the beams and crystals you passed. On the way out, turn left at the Blue Crystal area to reach the exit.
- Picking it up wakes the Dragon Guardian. You have 20 seconds to get out of the volcano.
- Then fly straight to your ranch and place the egg in a free nest before the second timer runs out.
Good to know
- It has one spawn point only, unlike the other Ethereal Eggs.
- It is the egg to farm for the Griffin, which guides say only comes from it. A Volcanic Egg is not guaranteed to hatch a Griffin.
- Other players can take it if the Guardian knocks you out or you are too slow.

Guides from GameBoost and BloxB describe Hatch Luck as your ranch’s Hatch Luck multiplied by the egg’s base luck, with a pet only possible once that total reaches its “1 in N” figure. The game does not document this, and no source says how likely a pet is once you pass its threshold, so treat these numbers as a planning guide, not odds.
